This is an extremely well made collection of atmospherical ambient soundscapes by Mind Over Midi. Crisp sound design and sparse, but highly effictive glimpses of melody. Hints at Dub Techno here and there, references to Vangelian synth work – there's a lot to discover here.

For the past week, this has been a daily listen. Like angling, this work is an etherial exercise in mindfulness; a catalyst for the slow transformation of patience into tranquility. It pairs wonderfully with Canadian autumn: a perfect companion for the slow drift into the darkest, coldest Northern days. To quote track 4, "the countryside must be experienced in its worst weather to appreciate the different shades of its beauty." Here is an album to keep you present in these times.
